To use Nikon Scan as a "stand-alone" application:
Windows
Click the Start button and select Nikon Scan 3.1 from Programs > Nikon Scan 3.1.
Macintosh
Open the folder to which you installed Nikon Scan (the default location is in the path Nikon Software :
Nikon Scan 3.1 on the start-up disk) and double-click the Nikon Scan 3.1 icon.

Place film in the holder. The kind of film that can be used depends on the holder; the scanning process
is illustrated in this section using the FH-835S strip-film holder provided with your scanner. For informa-
