When scanning film one or two strips at a time, be sure to cover the remaining apertures with a
masking sheet.
Masking sheets
When scanning two or three strips of different lengths, cover any open apertures by cutting a masking
sheet into the appropriate lengths and placing it over the apertures. Leaving apertures open when
scanning film of different lengths can interfere with accurate color reproduction.
