OPERATING THE UNIT
Measurement
After the arm cuff has been suitably positioned you can start the meas-
urement.
1.
Press the START/STOP button (A) and all symbols appear on the
display. The indicator 0 flashes. The pump now begins to inflate
the cuff and the increasing pressure in the cuff is shown on the
display.
2.
After the suitable pressure has been reached, the pump is stopped and the pressure falls
gradually. The arm cuff pressure is shown on the display. In the event that the inflation is
insufficient, the pump starts to achieve a higher pressure independently by further inflation
pumping.
3.
As soon as the device can measure a heartbeat, this is indicated
by the flashing of the pulse rate indicator (4)
4.
Once the measurement is completed, the systolic blood
pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and the pulse are shown on
the display.
5.
You can read the measured values on the display until you switch
off the device. If no button is pressed for a period of 3 minutes,
the device switches itself off automatically to save electricity.
Please note:
The symbol
is shown together with the measured values if an
irregular heartbeat is ascertained during the measurement.
Interrupting a measurement
If for some reason (e.g. feeling unwell) it is necessary to interrupt the measurement of the blood
pressure, this can be done at any time by pressing the START / STOP button (A). This causes
the arm cuff pressure to be reduced immediately and the measurement to be interrupted.
Data storage of the measurement results
This blood pressure meter saves 90 measurement results per user. As soon as there are more
than 90 measured values per user, the oldest entry is deleted.
