    Operating manual Ruby 10 | Operation Operation 10.1 Requirements for operation External combustion air supply Every combustion requires oxygen. This is drawn from the environment of the heating appliance. In modern buildings the outside covering is very thick. Therefore there is an insufficient flow of fresh combustion air.

    • The chimney must provide at least 3-12 Pa draught in order to be able to adequately draw off ex- haust gases even in the event of a power failure. • Austroflamm GmbH accepts no liability or responsibility for the connection of our heating appli- ances to shared exhaust pipes/chimneys – multiple occupancy. For more information consult a chimney sweep and check your national, regional and local building regulations.

    12.4.1 Function - air distribution module, controlling the strength of the fan An air distribution module is available as an option for RUBY. It can be used to heat an extra room via warm air. The warm air is sucked from the back wall of the firebox.

A pipe or hose of Ø 125 mm must be used for connecting the external combustion air supply. The length of the pipe or hose should be no longer than 5 m. This supply line must have no more than three bends.
