10.Remove throttle and choke cables from engine (Fig.
20).
A. Loosen and remove cap screw and nut that se-
cure end of throttle cable to governor lever.
B. Loosen and remove screw, flat washer and
flange nut that secure throttle cable clamp to control
bracket.
C. Loosen screw that secures choke cable to choke
lever swivel.
D. Loosen screw with washer that secures choke
cable to carburetor.
E. Position cables away from the engine.
11. Note location of any cable ties used to secure the wir-
ing harness, fuel lines, or hydraulic hoses to the engine
assembly. Remove cable ties attached to engine as-
sembly.
IMPORTANT: Support engine assembly from below
to prevent it from falling and being damaged.
12.Using a hoist or lift, raise engine slightly to allow easi-
er removal of fasteners that secure engine to frame.
Support engine to prevent it from shifting during remov-
al.
13.Remove lock nuts, washers, and cap screws secur-
ing the engine brackets and motor mounts to the ma-
chine frame (Fig. 17).
14.Loosen lock nuts and cap screws that secure engine
brackets to engine. Position engine brackets to allow
engine to be lowered from machine.
IMPORTANT: Make sure not to damage the engine,
fuel hoses, hydraulic lines, electrical harness, or
other parts while removing the engine assembly.
15.Using a hoist or lift, slowly lower engine from the ma-
chine.
16.If necessary, remove engine brackets from the en-
gine.
Installation (Fig. 14)
1. Locate machine on a level surface with key removed
from the ignition switch. Chock wheels to keep the ma-
chine from moving.
2. Make sure that all parts removed from the engine
during maintenance or rebuilding are reinstalled to the
engine.
3. If engine brackets were removed from engine, install
brackets to engine with cap screws and lock nuts. Do
not fully tighten fasteners.
