Disassembly (Fig. 32)
IMPORTANT: Make sure to remove and neutralize
chemicals from tank and spray components before
disassembly. Wear protective clothing, chemical re-
sistant gloves, and eye protection during repair.

1. Park machine on a level surface, stop engine, en-
gage parking brake, and remove key from the ignition
switch.
2. Drain spray tank (see Operator's Manual).
3. Remove bolt and lock nut that secure tank drain knob
to drain tube. Slide knob from tube.
4. Loosen bulkhead nut from bulkhead. Slide nut and

5. Raise tank lid and remove strainer basket to gain ac-
cess to ringnut (item 7) that secures bulkhead (item 14)
to tank. Loosen and remove ringnut from bulkhead.
Slide bulkhead from drain tube.
6. Loosen and remove ringnut (item 10) that secures
bulkhead fitting (item 8) to bottom of tank.
7. Lift drain tube until bulkhead fitting (item 8) clears
bottom of tank. Lower drain tube assembly into tank and
remove tube assembly through tank lid opening.
8. Disassemble drain tube using Figure 32 as a guide.
Discard all removed o–rings and gaskets.
Assembly (Fig. 32)
NOTE: Coat all o–rings with vegetable oil before instal-
lation to reduce the chance of damage during assembly.
1. Assemble drain tube using Figure 32 as a guide. Re-
place all removed o–rings and gaskets.
2. Check spray tank for leaks.
