Installation
WARNING - GENERAL HAZARD
The device may not be stored or operated outside of the prescribed
ambient conditions (see Technical data on page 51).
The device must be set up so that the power cable can be unplugged
immediately and without tools from the power network.
WARNING - DANGER OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK
Additional extension cables or portable multiple sockets must not be
connected.
The electrical installation must fulfill the requirements of IEC 60364-7-
710 or relevant national regulations. This includes the availability of fault-
current circuit breaker (FI switch).
To avoid the risk of electric shock, the device may only be connected to a
supply network with a protective conductor.
Ensure that the plug on the power cable is suitable and permitted for the
local connection. If the included power cable is replaced, at least the
following specifications must be complied with:

Maximum protective conductor resistance 0.2 Ohm
•
Local permit for the power cable to connect to medical devices
•
Device-side plug C19 according to IEC 60320
•
Diameter at least 0.75 mm2/AWG 18
Hospital Grade design for certain countries (e.g. USA, Canada) for
lines > 2.5 m the diameter must be increased to 1.5 mm²).
WARNING - FIRE HAZARD
The device is not suitable for operation in explosion hazard areas
(such as flammable mixture of anesthesia, cleaning or disinfecting
agents with air, oxygen or laughing gas).
The electrical installation must fulfill the requirements of IEC 60364-7-
710. When selecting surge protection, the current consumption
information on the type plate must be observed.
