(3) Error messages on a virtual LCD
You can confirm the error messages by the EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 web browser window. See
EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 User's Guide for details.
The table below shows the error messages displayed on upper and lower lines, cause, and solution.
Messages displayed on an upper LCD line

Cause
This message appears while POST is
running.
"XX" means a POST code in progress.
This message appears while POST is
running.
"XX" means a POST code in progress,
and "YYYY" means the system BIOS
version.
Error XXXX occurred during POST.
POST detected an error and paused.
Starting up BIOS SETUP MENU.
A temperature abnormality was
detected inside the server.
BIOS recovery is in progress.
BIOS update is in progress.
The CPU or memory configuration has
changed since the previous startup.
A system error was detected in PCI
bus.
A parity error was detected in PCI bus.
A frequent occurrence of correctable
memory error was detected.
Memory Sparing feature failed over to
standby memory.
Memory Mirroring feature failed over to
standby memory.

Solution
This is not an error.
Check the message displayed on LCD,
and take an appropriate action.
Make sure that the memory is correctly
implemented.

disappear when SETUP operation is
completed.
Lower the room temperature or turn off
the power to cool the server to room
temperature before starting up the
server. If this abnormality continues to
occur, check if a fan has failed. If the
same error still continues to occur,
contact your representative.

configuration change has been made,
contact your sales representative
