Power Supply

The system features redundant power supplies and will continue to operate if one module
fails, when it should be replaced as soon as convenient. The modules are hot-swappable,
meaning they can be changed without powering down the system. New units can be ordered
directly from Supermicro or authorized distributors. The power supplies are auto-switching
capable. This feature enables them to automatically sense the input voltage and operate at
a 200-240V range.

Power Supply LEDs

On the rear of the power supply module, an LED displays the status.
Solid Green: When illuminated, indicates that the power supply is on.
Solid Amber: When illuminated, indicates the power supply is plugged in and turned off,
or the system is off but in an abnormal state.
Blinking Amber: When blinking, this system power supply temperature has reached 63C.
The system will automatically power-down when the power supply temperature reaches
70C and restart when the power supply temperature goes below 60C.
Changing the Power Supply Module:
1. Unplug the AC cord from the module to be replaced.
2. On the back of the module, push the release tab sideways, as illustrated.
3. Pull the module out using the handle.
4. Push the new module into the power bay until it clicks. Replace with the same model.
5. Plug the AC power cord back into the module.
