5.2.5 Two protective functions – four field mode
In this function mode, you configure the protective functions for safety-related switching outputs OSSD-A
and OSSD-B.
• The safety sensor monitors two protective fields and two warning fields.
• Controlled switch-off via safety-related switching outputs OSSD-A and OSSD-B.
• If the protective field of protective function A is violated, safety-related switching outputs OSSD-A
switch.
• If the protective field of protective function B is violated, safety-related switching outputs OSSD-B
switch.
• Field pair actuation and field pair changeover take place together for the field pairs of protective func-
tion A and protective function B.
If, for example, the control system actuates the field pair A4.2 for protective function A, the field pair
B4.2 for protective function B is also actuated.

Ten configuration banks each with ten changeover-capable field pairs for safety-related switching outputs
OSSD-A. You can configure the resolution, AGV speed, start-up behavior and response time separately for
each configuration bank. For the field pair changeover, see chapter 5.7.6 "Changeover of 10x ten field
pairs".
• Manual restart when the configuration bank is changed over
• Safe, time-delayed switch-off of safety-related switching outputs OSSD-B.
