Routing Mode and Call Flow Options
About Call Flow Options
Proprietary & Confidential
This appendix describes briefly the call flow options that may be available on
your system, how the available call flows affect the provisioning of
subscribers, and how the choice of call flow affects the the subscriber
validation rules. It also discusses the special rules that apply to external IDs in
certain configurations of routed systems.
The call flow options your system supports are determined by whether the
system is routed or non-routed (see
your system administrator chose. On a non-routed system, all access phone
numbers must be either private or shared; you can't mix the two. On a routed
system, your system administrator can choose to enable both.
Each routing mode configuration supports one or more of these four possible
call flows:
•
Traditional Private: Subscribers are provisioned with a private access
number(s) and a subscriber password.
•
Traditional Shared: Subscribers are provisioned with a shared access
number(s), an access code, and a subscriber password.
•
Two-Password Private: Subscribers are provisioned with a private access
number(s), a subscriber password, and a participant password.
•
Two-Password Shared: Subscribers are provisioned with a shared access
number(s), a subscriber password, and a participant password.
Table A-1
shows the call flow combinations that Polycom has tested and
supports for each routing mode. Your system administrator determines which
call flows are available.
