NOTE: This Troubleshooting Chapter presents problems, causes, and suggested remedies beyond the
extent of loose, worn, or missing parts. It was developed with the understanding that the machine is in
otherwise good operating condition.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRACTOR IS SHUT OFF AND THE RAKE CANNOT MOVE
BEFORE SERVICING THE RAKE. MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICE WORK
TO BE PERFORMED BY A QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSON ONLY.
PROBLEM
Rake Lifting Arms Will Not

TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUSE
Hydraulic Transport Lock Valve
Is In Closed Position
Hydraulic Coupler Hoses Not
Coupled To Tractor Properly
Hydraulic Coupler Not Coupled
To Tractor Properly
Tractor Hydraulics Do Not
Have Sufficient Pressure
Hydraulic Transport Lock Valve
Is In Closed Position
Pole/Tongue Not Level
Rake beams are Not Level
Not Enough Rake Wheel Down
Pressure
Too Much Rake Wheel Down
Pressure

REMEDY
Rotate Transport Lock Valve To
Open Position
Couple Hoses To Tractor
Couple Hose To Tractor
Tractor Should Have At Least 1500
PSI To Operate Rake
Rotate Transport Lock Valve To
Open Position
Level Pole/Tongue by moving the
adjustable hitch
Adjust rake beam per directions in
the ADJUSTMENT Chapter of this
manual
Adjust the crank on the front of each
rake beam to increase down
pressure
Adjust the crank on the front of each
rake beam to decrease down
pressure
