WARNING

Faulty electrical installation or excessive
mains voltage may result in an electric

■ Prior to connecting the dishwasher,
ensure that you have taken note of all
safety instructions from page EN-4
and adhered to them.
Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to fi re.
■ Never use multi-socket adapters, mul-
ti-socket strips, travel adapters or the
like.
– For the electrical connection of the dish-
washer, a professional must install an
earthed power socket with its own fuse of a
sufficient size (220–240 V~ / 50 Hz / 10 A).
– Do not use a multi-socket extension cable,
multi-socket plug, travel adapter, extension
cable or similar.
– We recommend using a pulse-sensitive re-
sidual current device (RCD).
• Insert the mains plug into the socket.

Determine water hardness
In order to determine the water hardness in
your place of residence, you can
– look on the website of your water provider.
– telephone your water supplier.
– purchase suitable test strips at the phar-
macy.

1. Close the dishwasher door.
2. If the dishwasher is switched on, switch it
off.
Adjusting the water hardness
Do not allow more than 1 minute to elapse
between the following steps, otherwise the
setting process will be interrupted.
1. Switch on the dishwasher using the
button (1).
2. Keep the P button (5) pressed until the
water hardness level appears in the dis-
play.
3. Press the P button repeatedly until the
desired setting is displayed.
4. Around 5 seconds after the last button
push, the dishwasher will automatically
revert to the normal display.
The hardness level setting is saved.
