3.8 CPU and GPU Air Shrouds

The air shroud is used to prevent the processors from overheating by concentrating airflow
to maximize fan efficiency. The air shroud does not require screws to set up.
Installing the CPU and GPU Air Shrouds
1. Lay the chassis on a flat, stable surface and remove the chassis cover.
2. If necessary, move any cables that interfere with the air shroud placement.
3. Place the CPU air shroud in the chassis first. The air shroud fits just behind the two
middle fans in the fan rack. Slide the air shroud into the grooves just behind the fan
rack.
4. Then place the GPU air shrouds in the chassis. Both air shrouds fit behind the left and
right fans in the fan rack. Slide the air shroud one by one into the grooves just behind
the fan rack.
5. Reroute any cables that were moved and replace the chassis cover.
