Stop engine. Place Air Compressor
switch in the Off position.

Before charging battery, check po-
larity of battery posts. If battery Neg-
ative (−) post is grounded to chassis
(most vehicles), connect charger
Positive (+) cable to Positive (+) un-
grounded post of battery. Connect
charger Negative (−) cable to vehicle
engine block or heavy gauge metal
part of frame (and away from bat-
tery). If Positive (+) post is grounded
to chassis, connect charger Negat-
ive (−) cable to Negative (−) un-

block (and away from battery).

Obtain Battery Charge/Jumper Cable Kit
300422 or equivalent.
3 Red (Positive) Charging Cable
4 Black (Negative) Charging Cable
5 Battery Charge Plug
6 Battery Charge Receptacle
7 Insulated Battery Cable
(Customer-Supplied)
Connect red (Positive) battery charging ca-
ble to battery Positive (+) post. Connect
black (Negative) battery charging cable to
engine block or heavy gauge metal part of
frame (and away from battery)
Connect Battery Charge plug to Battery
Charge receptacle.
