5-7. Installing Exhaust Pipe

Install provided pipe and clamp onto
exhaust outlet and tighten.

Connect negative (−)
battery cable last.
Open top service door. Connect
battery, negative cable last.

Do not allow the battery
cables to touch opposing termin-
als. When connecting the battery
cables attach the positive (+)
cable to the positive (+) battery
terminal first, followed by negat-
ive (−) cable to negative (−) bat-
tery terminal.

Never start the engine when
the cables are loose or poorly
connected
to
the
battery
terminals.
S
Never disconnect the bat-
tery while the engine is running.
S
Never use a quick battery
charger to start the engine.
S
Do not charge battery with
Engine Control switch On.
Always disconnect the neg-
S
ative (−) battery cable before
charging battery.

Stop engine and let cool.
Engine backfire can cause se-
vere burns or other injuries.
Do not point exhaust pipe to-
ward control panel. Keep away
from exhaust outlet.
Do not point exhaust pipe to-
ward any compressed gas
tank.
Point exhaust pipe in desired di-
rection but always away from
control panel and direction of
travel.
