4.3 Digital I/O and Relays

Use the provided terminal block connectors and the connector
diagram in Figure 5 to wire Digital I/O and Relays to the iServer 2.
The DI connections ( DI2+ , DI2- , DI1+ , DI1- ) accept a 5 V (TTL) input.
The DO connections ( DO+ , DO- ) require an external voltage and
can support up to 0.5 amps at 60 V DC.
The Relays ( R2 , R1 ) can support a load of up to 1 amp at 30 V DC.
Important:
Below is an example of an LED Circuit connected to the Digital Inputs and outputs.
Further configuration regarding Normally Open/Normally Closed Initial State or Triggers can be
completed in the iServer 2 web UI. For more information, refer to sections 6.5.2 Relay 1 and Relay 2
or 6.5.4 Digital I/O .
When wiring the included terminal block
connectors to access the digital I/O, alarms, or
relays, it is recommended that users ground the unit
by connecting a wire to the chassis ground of the
connectors shown in Figure 9.
