Maintenance

Setting maintenance date
The maintenance date is set via Menu 2, Item 2.4. Follow the screen dialogue (for details of operation, seesee "Fig. 3: Navi-
gating in the menu", page 35 ).
Self-diagnosis system (SDS)
The self-diagnosis system checks the described system functions automatically (interval adjustable). These settings are
made via Menu 3.1.9 (see "230V menu texts"). Test: Pump 1, Pump 2 (Duo), Battery
If an error occurs, a plain text message appears in the display and the alarm LED lights up
Calibrate pressure sensor
A normal ageing process can cause deviation of the level at the pressure sensor. The pressure sensor can be calibrated
under menu item 2.7. and takes place automatically.
Please note that the calibration should be carried out at a room temperature of 10°C to 30°C.
Annual calibration is recommended.

Possible cause
Battery is missing, is faulty or the remain-
ing voltage is too small
- The maintenance date has been
reached
- Minimum power consumption of pump 1
or 2 not reached
- Pump is defective
Maximum power consumption of the
pump exceeded, possible impeller block-
age
Switching relay does not switch off
- Power supply has failed
- Mains supply cable interrupted
Incorrect layout or wiring of the sensors
(float switch, pressure switch, level probe
or tightness of the pressure system); sen-
sor is defective
Hose is leaking at the fitting to the immer-
sion pipe (or submersible pressure
switch) or control unit
Maximum operating cycles exceeded
Pump is running too long per pumping
operation
Pump running too frequently within a
short time
Remedial measure
Check the battery connections, replace
battery if necessary.
- Carry out maintenance
Check cable, replace if necessary
Check pump, replace if necessary
Clean the pump and check the impeller for
smooth running, replace if necessary.
Disconnect the control unit from the mains,
replace the control unit
- general power outage
- Check mains supply cable
Functional check, troubleshooting
Check airtightness of the pressure sensor
system.
Can be acknowledged. Inform customer
service. Fault appears after a further 1000
operating cycles.
Check the system design; if necessary,
inform the customer service.
