Before beginning any hydraulic test, identify if the problem is related to the
traction circuit or the lift and tilt angle circuits. Once the faulty system has been
identified, perform tests that relate to that circuit.
If a traction circuit problem exists, consider performing one or more of the
following tests:
Testing the Traction Circuit – Charge Pressure (page
Testing the Traction Circuit – Wheel Motor Efficiency (page
the Traction Circuit – Piston (traction) Pump Flow and Relief Pressure (page

If a lift or tilt angle circuit problem exists, consider performing one or more of
the following tests:
