Adjusting the Choke Control

1. Air intake hose adapter

1. Park the machine on a level surface, engage the parking brake, set the key
switch to the O position and remove key from the switch.

2. Remove the air intake hose adapter from the engine to view the choke plate
in the carburetor.
3. Move the choke control to the RUN position. Check that the choke plate in
the carburetor is fully open.
4. Move the choke control to the CHOKE position. Check that the choke plate
in the carburetor is fully closed.
5. If necessary, loosen the choke cable clamp screw and reposition the choke
control cable until the choke plate moves correctly.
6. Install the air intake hose adapter to the engine before returning the machine
to service.
