Hour meter/controller
The hour meter/controller is attached to the machine control panel. Power for the
controller is available at all times (unswitched). The controller circuit is protected
by a 10 Amp fuse (F2).
The hour meter/controller preforms the following functions:
•
Displays the total hours of engine operation
•
Displays the current position of the parking brake, traction control levers, and
the operator presence switch (if equipped)
•
Includes a charging system low voltage indicator
•
Provides control for the safety interlock system
•
Provides a path to ground for the engine ignition circuit
•
Energizes the engine fuel solenoid
•
Energizes the start and wireless hour meter relays
Note: The hour meter/controller includes a PTO position indicator. The indicator
functions when the auxiliary switch connector is used. The indicator is not used
on standard machines.
With the key switch in the O
meter/controller can be used to test the parking brake switch, neutral switch, and
operator presence switch (if equipped) circuit operation.
There is no method to test the hour meter/controller directly. Because of the solid
state circuitry built into the controller, the controller may be damaged if an attempt
is made to test it with an electrical test device (e.g. digital multimeter or test light).
