Local data backup

Operating lines Save or Restore start copying the setting values. Progress is indicated
continuously [0...100%] and last about 15 seconds.
Information Storage date and Storage year only display meaningful values if the bus
operator unit at the time of data backup received a valid system time.

Data backup on second device

The second unit (second bus operator unit in the KNX network) can be located on
another area or line. Set the target address of the second device via the Address
submenu.

Operating lines Save or Restore start transfer of the setting values. Progress is indicated
continuously [0...100%] and may take up to 3 minutes.
• Following transfer, the settings must be enabled on the second device via Restore.
• Transferring the data to the second device overwrites the local data backup of the
device. Locally backed up data are lost! The date for the data transfer overwrites the
date of the local data backup.
• No involved bus operator unit may be switched off or unplugged during transfer to
prevent loss of data.
• The bus operator unit cannot be operated during data transfer. Data cannot be
backed up or restored simultaneously on the second device to avoid corrupting data.
• Note the following rule to avoid compatibility issues:
The software version of the second device (where the data is backed up) must
be identical or higher than that of the bus operator unit whose data is backed up.
