Programming mode
Setting values Area, Line and Device address allow for defining individual device
addresses.
Automatic address searches are triggered via operating line Search address. Successful
address searches are acknowledged with status Address found. Status Address failed
means that the address search was unsuccessful.
Programming mode must be set to On to allocate addresses in ETS. ETS automatically
resets the value to Off after successful address allocation.
• If a higher line coupler in the network topology supplies SNA information different
from the values set for area and line, the line coupler's values are assumed.
• An error message is triggered if the device address for 2 devices is identical.
