Supply

The bus operator unit can be supplied in three different ways:
• Supply from KNX bus (power consumption 45 mA).
• External supply (from external AC 24 V supply).
• Supply from Synco 700 control unit (from service interface
of the Synco device; use only in exceptional cases).
4.1

Supply from KNX bus

If the bus operator unit is used at a place where there is no external AC 24 V supply
(e.g. mobile use), the bus operator unit can be supplied via the KNX bus.
• The slider on the rear of the bus operator unit must be set to "KNX".
• For the bus operator unit, calculate 45 mA supplied by the KNX bus. To this end,
at least 2 Synco control units with decentralized bus supply must be activated,
or a central power supply is required (see also document P3127).
• The bus operator unit is connected using the delivered cable to
- a KNX bus plug (figure a) or
- a Synco 700 control unit (figure b), or
• The KNX bus lines (terminals CE+ and CE–) are wired in the floor of the housing
(figure c, watch out for polarity).
