Open the access panel to the drainage system.

If the drain outlet is clogged, a large amount of water may be retained in the washing
machine.
 If laundry has been washed at a high temperature, water draining out of the machine
will still be hot.
Place a suitable container under the access panel.

Do not unscrew the drain filter completely.
Unscrew the drain filter to let the water out.

Tighten the drain filter back up again if you need to interrupt the flow of water.

If no water runs out, unscrew the drain filter completely.

Clean the drain filter thoroughly.

