OmniVision Camera

The EZ-Extender 1 allows the OV6630 OmniVision camera evaluation
board to interface with the ADSP-BF53x EZ-KIT Lite evaluation system.
Please note that an on-board data driver is set up as a receiver. The direc-
tion of frame synchronization signals depends on the OmniVision camera.
The OV6630 camera is a CMOS Image sensor that can be connected
directly to the PPI of the ADSP-BF53x Blackfin processor. The connec-
tion allows a digital video stream to be captured by the processor. Since
the PPI interface is a half-duplex interface, it cannot be used for any other
purposes while the Omnivision camera is connected.
For more information, see
specific jumper settings, refer to the OmniVision example. To learn more

LCD Interface

This interface is intended to drive an LCD display device. Therefore, the
on-board data driver should be set up as a transmitter.
While many LCD displays are available, an example is provided for the
Sharp display. Please note that the provided connector includes data and
frame sync pins only. The power for the backlight feature of the LCD
must be provided by the customer.
A 32-pin, right angle FLZ-type connector is provided to connect the data
and control lines of commercially available LCD panels. The part number
of the connector on the EZ-KIT Lite expansion board is
JST32FLZ-SM1-R-TB. The cable connecting the JST part to the data
port on the LCD is available from Parlex Corporation, part number
050-32-76B.
