The ZT 4901 monitors several operational parameters and provides board ID information via the
Intelligent Platform Management Bus (IPMB). The following devices reside on the ZT 4901's
IPMB.

System Monitoring Functions

An Analog Devices ADM1026 System Monitoring Device monitors the IOX board's health
parameters. The system monitor sends status information to the Host CPU, using IPMB, through
the board-to-board connector. The following items are monitored by the ADM1026:

onboard power supplies, +3.3 V, +5 V, +12 V, -12 V, +2.5 V, and ISP2312_3V supplies
•

onboard temperature

•
hot swap controller fault condition
•
compactPCI interface operating mode
•
rear panel eject switch
•
J5 fibre channel bypass select
•
backplane J2 Geographical Address
•
board version/revision ID (factory use only)
•
rear panel board presence

Power Supplies

Local 5 V, +12 V, -12 V, and Fibre Channel ISP2312_3 V and 2.5 V supplies are monitored by the
ADM1026. The IPMI System Data Record (SDR), located in the IOX board's FRU device,
contains threshold and interrupt behavior configurations for these inputs.
Local 3.3 V and IPMB_3.3 V supplies are monitored to generate on-chip and board power-on
resets.
Onboard Temperature
Onboard temperature is monitored using the on-chip temperature sensor and is configured per the
ADM1026 datasheet.
