Unpacking

Check the shipping carton for damage. If the shipping carton and contents are damaged, notify
Intel Customer Support. Retain the shipping carton and packing material for inspection by the
carrier. Obtain authorization before returning any product to Intel. Refer to
"Customer Support" for assistance information.

System Requirements

The following topics briefly describe the basic system requirements and configurable features of
the ZT 4901. Links are provided to other chapters and appendices containing more detailed
information.

Compatibility

The ZT 4901 is intended to be installed as a mezzanine I/O expansion board on the ZT 5524
processor board. The two-board complex can then be installed into a CompactPCI system master or
peripheral slot in a compatible platform.
The ZT 4901 operates in a backplanes providing CompactPCI-style 2 mm hard metric connectors
to the board's J1, J2, and J5 backplane interfaces. See
descriptions and pinouts.

Electrical and Environmental

The ZT 4901 requires +5 VDC ±5%, +3.3 VDC ±5%, +12 VDC ±5%, -12 VDC ±5% per the
CompactPCI specification. +12 Vdc and -12 VDC are only used by PMC.
The ZT 4901 may contain materials that require regulation upon disposal. Please dispose of this
product in accordance with local rules and regulations. For disposal or recycling information,
