Measurement Time

Measurement Time

Measurement time depends on aperture time, measurement range, and other
measurement conditions, and can be expressed by the following formula:
Measurement time = Aperture time + Overhead time
Aperture time is the time required for measurement, and does not include such
factors as range change or data compensation, which would be the overhead
time.

Aperture Time

Aperture time is the time required to acquire the measurement data. For accurate
and reliable measurement, the aperture time should be increased.
The aperture time is set by using the Measure Speed parameter on the Single
view. See

Overhead Time

Overhead time is the time required for range change, etc. This time depends on
the measurement condition, and cannot be specified. Major elements of the
overhead time are:

To Control Source/Measure Timing

The source output and measurement timing can be controlled by the following
parameters. See
bias output, focus the shape of a sweep step only.

The source delay time is defined as the time from trigger to start of a source
output.
