2. Disconnect the battery cables.

2. Strap
3. Remove the retaining strap.

Use any automotive type battery
charger. Always refer to the battery
charger manufacturer's instructions.

Clean battery casing and battery
posts using a soft brush and a solution
of baking soda and water.
Remove corrosion from battery cable
terminals and battery posts using a
firm wire brush.
Rinse with clear water then dry well.

1. Connect the battery cables.

2. Tighten the battery cable screws to
specification.

posts.
4. Cover positive battery post with
rubber boot.
5. Verify
cable
attachments.

1. Clean the bilge with hot water and
detergent or with bilge cleaner.
2. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Lift front end of watercraft to com-
pletely drain bilge through the bilge
drain plugs.

1. Wipe off any residual water in the
engine compartment.
2. Lubricate all metallic components
in engine compartment.
