Via the RS232 console connection on the SC board, copy the new firmware from the
'Install Image' to the local hard disk.

Go to the OBP level by typing sync;halt and pressing Enter.

Install new firmware. Follow the example below:
ok> setenv auto-boot? false
ok> reset-all
ok> flash-update /pci@1f,0/pci@1/ide@2/disk@0,0:a:,/firmware.bin
ok> setenv auto-boot? true
ok> setenv diag-switch? false
Remain at the OBP level (do not reboot the board) and proceed to the next step.

Via the RS232 console connection on the SC board (you should already be at OBP
level), install the Solaris™ 9 OS.
ok> boot net - install
The Solaris™ 9 OS installation takes approximately 10 min. During this process,
the SC board is rebooted. A message appears when the installation is complete
and a login prompt is presented.

To stabilize the file system, at the prompt, type lockfs –f / and pressing Enter.

The Blue (hotswap) LED is lit after the 'sync;halt' command is entered,
however this does not indicate any kind a failure and should be ignored.
