Using the Service menu (/cfg/smc/service), you can display the different
services used in configuring the SMC firewall rules.
Services map to a protocol and a series of port ranges. You can consolidate
frequently used services into a single service specification, and then use it
repeatedly in firewall rules.
Note: If you want to allow or deny ICMP traffic explicitly, you can add
a custom rule directly to the SMC secure zone policies specifying ICMP
as the protocol.
Table 83 identifies and describes the Service menu commands.
Description
Specifies the service name.
Specifies TCP/UDP services.
Specifies the ports or port ranges used to define the service. You can
specify up to three ports and port ranges. The format is demonstrated as
follows: 4100,7300,5100 or 161-162, 512.
Displays a comment describing the service.
Removes the service.
