Remedy
 Switch the device on, read error message, remedy the
cause and run a new selftest.
 Replace the battery.
 Have the device repaired.
 Check expiry date on the electrode packaging. Proceed
as in chapter
3.2.4
described.
 Technical safety inspection and software updates re-
quired (see
7.1 Maintenance Intervals, 3 years)

Remedy
 After unsuccessfully retrying writing to memory the fail-
ure "Not recording patient data" appears see below.
 Get the device repaired after intervention
 Ignored notification "Disconnect Defib Pads For Test"
during the selftest. Start again selftest.

 Replace battery immediately

 Switch the device on and check error message.
 If other error message is displayed, have the device re-
paired.
 Have the device repaired.
 Replace the battery and run again a manual self-test.
 Have the device repaired.
Remedy
 Replace battery immediately
 Replace battery with a stored battery within the temper-
ature limits. Note this message is only disaplyed when
using the rechargeable battery
 Replace battery immediately.
 Shock key was pressed during start-up of the device or
the key stucks. Cycle power off-on again and make sure
that shock key is not pressed
Have the device repaired.
 Device switches automatically to defibrillation. AED pro-
tocol starts (see
4.6 Monitoring mode)
