3.2 Securing a Unit

This section describes how to secure a unit to concrete platforms. For details about
how to secure a unit to steel bases, see
Prerequisites
Ensure that the concrete platforms are flat and the height (altitude) difference
between the upper surfaces of all platforms is within 5 mm.
Procedure
Step 1 Prepare concrete platforms by referring to
Step 2 Determine the reference points for installing a unit on the concrete platforms.
Mark the reference points using a marker.
Step 3 Mark the mounting positions for the four corner fittings of the unit using an ink
fountain and soft measuring tape.

When securing the unit, use shock absorption pads of the following
specifications:
– Material: EPDM
– Flame spread rating: V0
– Thickness: 15 mm
– Dimensions: 130 mm x 130 mm, 130 mm x 170 mm

Precautions
Keep the unit stable and horizontal during hoisting, and
ensure that the diagonal gradient of the unit is within 5
degrees.
Lift and land the unit slowly to prevent shock to the
devices inside.
Remove the steel ropes after ensuring that the unit is
placed evenly on the support platforms.
When hoisting the unit, prevent the unit from being
scratched by steel ropes.
