16 During Operation

► Squeeze the trigger switch.
The trigger switch must engage only when the retaining
latch is in the unlocked position.
► Release the trigger switch.
The trigger switch must return to the off position when
released.
16 During Operation

16.1 Filling and Emptying the Container

16.1.1 Filling the Container
WARNING
Use of unsuitable chemicals can damage the sprayer and
may result in personal injury. Never spray flammable or
combustible liquids. Never spray caustic or corrosive
materials. Never draw fluids into the pump that contain
solvents or undiluted acids (e.g., gasoline, heating oil, paint
thinner, acetone). Always read and follow the chemical
manufacturer's warnings and instructions regarding proper
preparation, dilution, safe use and disposal.
To fill the container:
► Switch off the sprayer, @ 14.2.
► Remove the battery, @ 13.2.
► Place the sprayer on a level surface.

► Remove the cap (2). Do not remove the strainer (1).

► Check sealing ring in the cap. If it is damaged or worn,
have it replaced before use.
► Fill the container no higher than the top mark (3) on the
scale. Do not overfill.
To close the container:
► Position the cap on the container and press it down while
turning it clockwise until it is tight.
16.1.2 Draining the Container
► Switch off the sprayer, @ 14.2.
► Remove the battery, @ 13.2.
► Remove cap and strainer.
► Drain the container in an environmentally responsible
manner in a well ventilated location.

16.2 Activating and Locking the Trigger Switch
