Switching the ECO start/stop function off/on
Press the è button.

When the indicator lamp in the è button
lights up, the ECO start/stop function is acti‐
vated.
Function of the ECO display
The ECO display summarises your driving charac‐
teristics from the start of the journey to its com‐
pletion and assists you in achieving the most eco‐
nomical driving style.
You can influence consumption as follows:
Anticipate road and traffic conditions.

Drive in drive program ; if it is available;

otherwise, in drive program A

Follow the gearshift recommendations.

The inner segment lights up green and the outer
segment fills up:

Moderate acceleration

Gentle deceleration and rolling

3
Consistent speed

The inner segment is grey and the outer segment
empties:

Sporty acceleration

Heavy braking
R
3
Speed fluctuations
R
You are driving economically if the edge of the
ECO display lights up and the three outer seg‐
ments are completely full at the same time.
The additional range achieved as a result of your
driving style in comparison with a driver with a
very sporty driving style is shown under

start. The range displayed does not indicate
a fixed reduction in consumption.
If you interrupt your trip and switch off the igni‐
tion for longer than four hours, the ECO display
values will automatically be reset.

Using the gearshift lever

Do not shift down at high speeds.
