Display Information

When you enter text in the contacts or a message, the text entry display shows you various information as
shown below:
Number of remaining characters
displayed in max. of 3 digits. For
1000 or more, the number is
displayed in thousands (e.g. 5K).
Right justified.
ABC: Text mode
NUM: Numeric mode
GCopy Start: A prompt to specify the copy starting point
GCopy End: A prompt to specify the copy ending point
GCut Start: A prompt to specify the cut starting point
GCut End: A prompt to specify the cut ending point

Contacts

(Press the "SK2 (Contact)" key, or press the "MENU" key → select "User Data" → select "Contacts")
Contacts manages the list of contacts entries: registered names, phone numbers and addresses. From this
menu, you can choose to use either the phone or the USIM contacts as a default, search through the entries
by name, number, or address order, and put the entries into categories (e.g. Work, Family, Friends, etc.).

Contact Entries

A maximum of 500 name/phone number/email address entries can be registered in the phone contacts, and
254 entries in the USIM contacts (this number varies with the type of the USIM card. Ask 3 for details).
500 is the total number of names/phone numbers/email addresses.
A phone number/email address must be registered with a name.
