Keys

Keys on the handset enable you to enter text in the similar manner as you enter from the PC keyboard. The
following shows the e808 key operations that are different from the PC keyboard keys:
CAP Key
You can enter a capital letter by pressing the CAP key once. To lock capital letters, press the CAP key twice.
To unlock, press the CAP key again.
SHIFT Key
You can enter numbers or symbols shown above each alphanumeric key (refer to Keys on page 2), by
pressing an alphanumeric key while pressing the SHIFT key.
SYMBOL Key
You can enter symbols or special characters by pressing the SYMBOL key. A list of symbols will appear on
the handset screen. Select a symbol by using the Up, Down, Left, and Right keys. The SYMBOL key can
also be used to shift between the text mode and the numeric mode by pressing and holding the SYMBOL
key.
BS Key
You can delete the character, number, symbol, change line or space on the left side of the cursor by pressing
the BS key.
CLR Key
You can delete the character, number, symbol, change line or space on the right side of the cursor by
pressing the CLR key.
Do this
Press the SK2 (Submenu) key, then select 123 from the
Submenu, or press and hold the SYMBOL key in the text
mode. In the numeric mode, you can enter 0-9, ✱, and #
without pressing the NUM key.
Press the SK2 (Submenu) key, then select ABC from the
Submenu, or press and hold the SYMBOL key in the numeric
mode.
