Power Saver

You can set the power saver function to turn the screen off when the handset is left without any operation for
a certain period of time. The power save function can only be activated for the standby screen, and not for a
screen showing menus, applications, etc. When the power save function turns the screen off, you can return
to the standby screen by pressing any key except the SHIFT key. The default setting of the power saver
function is set to 1 Minute. To set the power saver function, proceed as described below:
To Set the Power Saver Function
1 Press the MENU key and select Settings and Display.
2 Select Power Saver.
3 Select the setting from Power saver off, 1 Minute, 3 Minutes, and 5 Minutes.

Setting Clock

You will be prompted to set the current date and time when you first use the e808. This is to ensure all
applications are accessible.
To Set Clock
1 Press the MENU key, select the Settings icon, select Clock, and press the SK1 (Select) key or Enter
key.
2 Enter the current date and time. Refer to Date & Time on page 102 for details.
You cannot use some functions (e.g. date and time display on the standby screen, calendar display,
schedule setting, ToDo setting, alarm setting, etc.) without setting the clock. Also, if the clock is not set,
the date and time are not displayed for the messages in Inbox/Sent Items/Draft/Email Inbox/Saved
Email/Draft Email/Email Outbox.

Making and Receiving Calls

To make and receive calls, e808 must first be turned on. When the power turns on and the PIN number is
entered, e808 automatically searches for the network registered in the USIM card. When the network signal
is detected by e808, it is indicated by the network name and the radio signal strength icon on the display
screen.
When the stereo headset is plugged in, you can make/receive calls hands-free, using the earphones and
the microphone attached.
When using the stereo headset, you can start/end a voice call by the switch placed on the microphone.
Pressing the CLR key while receiving a call will turn the ringtune off.
