If you set up the library with multiple SCSI buses (see Appendix C), you can assign
the same number to two or more devices, provided each device is on a different SCSI
bus.
Note – Power must be recycled for the new SCSI ID number to become effective.
Configuring Library Options
The Configure Options command enables you to set the following:
Power-On State - Determines whether the library is on-line or in standby mode
when powered up.
Auto Clean - Enables the library to perform drive cleaning tasks automatically as
needed.
Retries - Causes the library to automatically retry a failed command before issuing
an error message.
Bar Code Labels - Turns bar code scanning on or off during inventory. It should be
disabled when the library contains cartridges that are not labeled.
Auto Inventory - Causes the library to perform an inventory whenever the library
is powered up.
Auto Load - Causes the library to automatically move cartridges in the load packs
to empty storage bins as soon as the load port door closes.
Temp. Detection - Enables or disables the over-temperature detection warning and
shutdown features of the library.
4/52 identity - Causes the library to return the same inquiry string as the
ACL 4/52 library.
Power-On Security - Determines the library security level when powered up.

To Configure a Library Option
1. In the Operator screen, press the Configure Options button.
