Roof Reset

Warning: Aston Martin recommend that a minimum of two
people are required to manually lower the roof. The roof
mechanism is heavy and will move very slowly when being
moved manually.
Warning: Keep fingers clear of the roof linkage when moving
the roof manually.
If the roof stalls or is left in 'Pause' for ten minutes or more, hydraulic
pressure will be lost. The roof and tonneau lid will relax and, gently,
fall back. Powered roof operation will be stopped until the roof has
been reset by manually fully raising or lowering the roof.
It is recommended to fully lower the roof to reset.
1. Remove the vehicle key from the Ignition control.
2. With a person each side,
support the tonneau lid (A)
in the raised position.
While supporting the lid
raise the tension bow (B)
towards the header of the
roof (C). When the tension
bow has reached its
mechanical stop bring the header of the roof down towards the
tension bow.
Make sure that the tension bow and
header lower together. It is possible to
damage the roof if the tension bow is
allowed to lower without the header.
3. Continue to support the
tonneau lid and lower the
tension bow and the header
together into the roof
storage area. Once the
tension bow and the header
are stored let the tonneau
lid lower.
4. In the areas shown (D), push
the tonneau lid down and
engage both tonneau lid
catches, one each side.
