Placing Originals on the Exposure Glass
Place originals on the exposure glass.
1.
Lift the exposure glass cover or ADF.
Be sure to lift the exposure glass cover or ADF at least 30 degrees. Otherwise, the size of the
original might not be detected correctly.
2.
Place the original face down on the exposure glass.
Align the original with the reference mark and the left corner scale.

Placing Originals in the ADF
Place originals in the ADF.
Place the original properly, and do not block the sensor. Otherwise, the machine may fail to detect the
size of the original correctly, or a paper misfeed message will be displayed. Also, do not place originals
or other objects on the top cover. Doing so may cause a malfunction.
