When "P" Is Displayed
This indicates an original misfeed has occurred in the ADF.
• This indicator will only be displayed when the machine is equipped with the ADF.
Preventing original misfeeds
Use the exposure glass for the following kinds of originals.
• Heavier than 128 g/m
• Lighter than 52 g/m
• Smaller than 148 × 210 mm (5.9 × 8.3 inches)
• Larger than 297 × 864 mm (11.6 × 34.0 inches)
• Stapled or clipped
• Perforated or torn
• Curled, folded, or creased
• Coated, such as thermal fax paper, art paper, aluminum foil, carbon paper, or conductive
paper
• Bound, such as a book
Lower the ADF.
