Mode 3-A: Control Panel Button Assignments - AMX SX16+ Instruction And Programming Manual

This program mode is used for special assignments
of control panel buttons to one or more relays in
any SX16+ Relay Controller in a system.
Putting one SX16+ in this program mode will also
allow all other SX16+s on the bus to be
programmed at the same time.
Although Wireless Transmitter assignments and
SoftWire Panel assignments are programmed
similarly, they will be discussed separately.
Setting Transmitter Button Assignments
Note: SX-RM Receiver Module must be plugged
into SX16+ for all Mode 2 settings.
Press Buttons 15, 16 and 3 Simultaneously
Note: Transmitter button assignments should
always be set AFTER the SX16+ address is set
(Mode 2). Failure to program in this order could
nullify previous button assignments.
After entering Mode 3, pressing and holding any
one button on a transmitter and THEN pressing one
or more front panel buttons on the SX16+ will mate
that control button to those relays.
If one or more LEDs light when a transmitter button
is first pushed, that button my have already been
assigned to those relays or is naturally assigned as
part of a block of sixteen buttons coded to that
SX16+. (See Mode 1).
To de-assign buttons, press transmitter button and
also press Iit LEDs on front panel. It should toggle
off and no longer be assigned to that button.
