4.19.1

Magnet Removal

•
Perform sections 3.1.1 - 3.1.2 of the Flip Disassembly
Tools needed to perform the following steps:
1. Locate the magnet and remove it from its slot in the
inner flip cover using tweezers.

Magnet Installation

If this part is being replaced, a new part should be used in the place of the old part when
performing the following steps.
Tools needed to perform the following steps:
1. Orient the flip assembly so that the small display is
towards you and the hinge is oriented to the bottom.
2. Locate the slot for the magnet that is adjacent to the
left side screw boss at the hinge end of the inner flip
cover.
NOTE!
NOTE!
3. Orient the magnet so that its side with adhesive is
oriented towards the screw boss.

When handling the magnet, avoid
contaminating the adhesive film that is on
one side of the magnet.

avoid contaminating the adhesive film that
is on one side of the magnet.
If a new magnet is being used, remove the
protective covering from the adhesive on the
magnet.
