Electronic information products
The 360° Camera or the reversing camera is

switched off.
The vehicle is locked and the door handles

The side windows and sliding sunroof are com-

pletely closed.
The blower for the ventilation and heating is

switched off.
The windscreen wiper switch is in position g.

The key is at a minimum distance of 6 m away

from the vehicle. Otherwise the tailgate or a
door could open unintentionally.
For car washes with a conveyor system:

The vehicle is locked from inside.

Do not make any hand movements in the area

option in the settings for the MBUX
interior assistant.

If, after the car wash, you remove the wax
from the windscreen and wiper rubbers, this
will prevent smearing and reduce wiper noise.

Notes on adjusting the lights when driving abroad
The headlamps will automatically be adjusted
when the vehicle crosses the border into coun-
tries in which traffic drives on the other side of
the road and will retain their full range of func-
tions. If necessary, the headlamps can also be
adjusted manually in the
Low beam
(
page 233).

In the following cases, check the headlamp set-
ting and change it manually if necessary:
If the
Dipped-beam setting (left/right-side

traffic) Manual adjustment only

Following manual adjustment:
Oncoming traffic will not be dazzled.

Damaged tyres can cause tyre pressure loss.
Check the tyres regularly for signs of

damage and replace any damaged tyres
immediately.
& WARNING Risk of aquaplaning due to
insufficient tyre tread

Insufficient tyre tread will result in reduced
tyre grip.
The risk of aquaplaning is increased on wet
roads, especially when the speed of the vehi-
cle is not adapted to suit the conditions.
