iPhone functions can be used via the multimedia

system using Apple CarPlay . They are operated
using the touchscreen, Touch Control or the Siri
voice control system. You can activate the voice
control system by pressing and holding the £
button on the multifunction steering wheel.

By briefly pressing the £ button on the
multifunction steering wheel you can continue
to operate the multimedia system using the
MBUX Voice Assistant ( page 428).

Only one iPhone at a time can be connected via

Apple CarPlay with the multimedia system.

Also for use of Apple CarPlay with two phone
mode, only one additional mobile phone can be

connected using Bluetooth with the multimedia

functions (e.g. dialling from the address book) can

For safety reasons, the first activation of

Apple CarPlay on the multimedia system
must be carried out when the vehicle is sta-
tionary and the parking brake applied.

Connect the iPhone to a USB port on the
multimedia system using a suitable cable
( page 589).

time, a message about data protection regula-
tions appears.
