Direct Dialling Out (DDO)

If a fax server is connected to an S bus, individual fax receivers allocated a DDI
number can be specifically addressed. In terms of routing technology, this corre-
sponding to a DDO (Direct Dialling Out) function.
The fax server forwards the incoming faxes via e-mail to the relevant PC stations
that are set up as fax receivers.

Due to the configuration of the S interface as
protocol, the fax calls can be routed via routes and trunk groups. This means that all
fax receivers that have been allocated a DDI number can be reached via a single S
interface
