4. INDICATEURS DE DEFAUT

Le PRESTOTIG 220 AC/DC est un générateur équipé de sécurités qui interrompent
automatiquement le soudage en cas de défaut.
Le tableau suivant répertorie les indications de l'afficheur correspondant aux différents
défauts.
Les interventions faites sur les installations électriques
doivent être confiées à des personnes qualifiées pour les
effectuer (voir chapitre CONSIGNES DE SECURITE).

Attendre le refroidissement, appareil
sous tension. L'appareil se remettra
automatiquement en marche
Veillez au dégagement des ouïes de
refroidissement
Ouvrir l'appareil et aspirer
Vérifier l'état du ventilateur
Consulter nos services techniques
Si le défaut provient du coffret
réfrigérant, vérifier le niveau du
liquide de refroidissement, le bon
état des canalisations et le bon
fonctionnement de la ventilation
Remplacer le ventilateur ou le
thermostat

ATTENTION :
Poser la pince porte électrode à un
endroit isolé ou ne risquant pas de
provoquer un contact entre
l'électrode et la masse
Conserver une distance comprise
entre 1 et 2 mm entre le bout de
l'électrode et la pièce pour amorcer
en mode TIG HF

automatically shutdown welding if a fault occurs.
The table below shows the fault displays that correspond to the various fault
conditions.
Servicing operations carried out on electric installations
must be performed by persons qualified to do this kind of
work (see SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS section).

OVERHEATING FAULT
Duty factor exceeded
Not enough cooling air flow
Power part very dirty
Fan no working
18V SAFETY FAULT
Power supply fault on the
Control board
EXTERNAL SAFETY FAULT
A fault condition is present in an
external unit connected to the
generator (e g : cooling unit)
From serial number 03920UO335 onwards, the cooling unit safety message is not
active.
POWER BOARD SAFETY FAULT
Overheating due to a ventilation
failure
Fault on the power board
MAGNETIZING CURRENT FAULT
Maximum magnetizing current
Level exceeded
I MAX FAULT

SHORT CIRCUIT
Electrode mode : the electrode
Holder is shorted to ground (risk
of immediate arc lighting)
TIG HF mode : the electrode
is in contact with the work piece
during striking (in this case, arc
striking is impossible)

outside the points mentioned previously :

4. FAULT INDICATORS

SOLUTIONS
Wait until cooled under power and it
will powerup again. The unit will
automatically return to service
Ensure that the cooling openings are
clear
Open the unit and vacuum it clean
Check fan condition
Refer to our technical department
If the fault comes from the cooling
unit, check the level of cooling
liquid, that hoses are in good
condition and whether the
ventilation system is working
properly
Replace the fan or the thermostat

WARNING :
The fan is thermo disengaging
Place the electrode holder in an
isolated location or one where there
is no risk of causing a contact
between the electrode and ground
Retain a distance of between 1 and
2 mm between the end of the
electrode and the work piece for
striking in TIG HF mode.
