INITIAL USE OF YOUR APPLIANCE
Before using for the first time:
Carefully read these instructions. While browsing, you will
discover tips for use which will let you get the most out
of your appliance: stews/simmered foods, soups, steamed
foods, desserts and sauces, but also the weighing of your
ingredients.
Keep it for future reference: the manufacturer is not liable

for usage which does not comply with the instructions.
 
Be sure to remove all of the packaging and sticker from
your product.
Clean the various parts: lid set, bowl set, accessories,
external steamer basket* using soapy water. (See the
CLEANING paragraph of these instructions).
Warning: the base must not be placed in water.
 
Initial use of the appliance:
Your appliance has a power cord. Connect the power cord
to the master outlet and press the switch (C15) at the back
of the engine block (see Fig. 10)
Putting the bowl and accessories in place:
Remove the bowl from the base of the appliance by taking
the handle with one hand, and by pressing the bowl
release button (B3). Open the lid. If necessary position the
selected accessory on the chopping knife. Incorporate the
ingredients. Close the lid.
Reposition the bowl on the base of the appliance, using
the handle to handle it, and then start the desired
programme.
To use the internal or external steaming basket*, please
first fill the bowl to the steam mark (see Fig. 5.1-5.2).
Setting up the lid set:
The lid of the product is composed of three elements: the
lid, the sub-lid and the seal.
These 3 items are delivered assembled. These 3 items can
be separated for ease of cleaning the lid.
Warning: you cannot unlock the lid when the bowl is
placed on the base. To open the lid you must remove the
bowl from the motor block base.
The lid must only be put in place if the seal is placed on
the seal-holder of the sub-lid and if the sub-lid is attached
to the black lid.
Switching on:
Select the desired automatic programme by pressing the
corresponding button or choose your cooking settings
yourself using the manual functions.
Press the Start / Stop (C13) button to launch the
programme.
The appliance starts only if the bowl is correctly positioned
on the base and if the lid assembly is correctly positioned
on the bowl. If the bowl is not well positioned on the base,
the error code E3 is displayed. When handling the bowl
during your recipe, pull the bowl out from the base, taking
the handle with one hand. If the bowl is full, for greater
ease you can use the grip area behind the lid with your
other hand.
